Payroll and Paye

PAYE (Pay As You Earn) is the system that HM Revenue & Customs uses to collect income tax and National Insurance contributions from employees' pay.
The term 'employees' includes directors of limited companies.
We understand that managing payroll internally is time consuming and demands knowledge of changes in legislation in a real time basis. Our payroll service is designed to suit the changing needs of companies and can be done as:

  • Fully outsourced service
  • Emergency cover
  • Advice on improvements to the efficiency of existing systems

Administering your own payroll can be time consuming and burdensome, diverting energy and resources from the core activities of your business. As employment legislation becomes ever more complex it has never been a more difficult time for small and medium sized enterprises to operate their own payroll systems.
At Ratnam & Co we will provide you a dedicated payroll manager to give you a comprehensive and confidential payroll service.

This can include:

  1. Weekly or monthly payroll
  2. Administration of PAYE national insurance, statutory sick pay, statutory maternity pay, etc.
  3. Completion of statutory forms (including year-end returns) to issue to your employees and submit to the Inland Revenue;
  4. Advice on the numerous statutory benefits, tax credits and compliance with national minimum wage legislation.

A simple error can be costly to correct, so even if you have only a few employees you can make savings by engaging us to administer your payroll.

Our payroll services team are responsible for the preparation of large and small, weekly or monthly payrolls, and are readily available to assist with client's queries on employment related matters.

The service available is fully flexible to meet individual requirements and provide a real solution to payroll concerns-all based on fixed cost scales.
